Interview with photographer Alan Messer

In 1973 Bob Marley and the Wailers played at BBC for the Old Gray Whistle Test. Photographer Alan Messer recalls that show

Alan Messer: “Dear Marco, I remember that day very well. Bob Harris was the presenter of the show. The band played two songs, “Concrete Jungle” and “Slave Driver”. They were charming nice people. Very cool, professional and a joy to work with. They were new on the British music scene, which is why Old Gray Whistle Test featured them. Very professional and laid back. I was the Old Grey Whistle Test (unofficial) photographer for over one hundred shows! I only met Bob Marley that once. I am of course a big fan of his music. There has never be anyone to equal him”
