neville garrick confirmed the story he told in one of the older "distant drums" magazines about the show in oslo (or horten, to be precise) in 1978:
it was a festival and it had been raining all day long...yet people were holding out like it was the most beautiful day...neville more than once spoke about the "galoschen" they were all wearing and how clearly he remembers them...bob was so impressed with the endurance of the crowd that he kept on playing and playing...according to neville at least three encores...as usual the band had rehearsed roughly thirty different songs before the tour (I personally count thirtyfour for the Kaya Tour so far) but in the end in norway they ran out of tracks...what a show this must have been!
I also asked him if he remembered any particular concerts standing out...answering to his question he first mentioned the rainbow shows in london in 77 but then quickly added that this was like asking for his favourite marley song...impossible to answer
you may notice that especially the 76 and 78 tours initially started with very slow songs..."Rastaman Chant" and "Lion of Judah" in 76, "So long Rastafari" and "Concrete Jungle" in 78...a heaven for Neville as the lightning director but Bob didn't like it too much, it took the crowd to long to get up and dance so he changed the set lists to more "powerful" starters like "trench town rock" and "positive vibration"
roger then spoke about the marvin gaye show...he told me that indeed an audience recording exists...herbie miller, tosh's manager made it...it took roger twelve years to get a copy of it, simply because miller was awfully embarrased: you can he hear him talking through the entire show which looking back he finds terribly lame...
to be continued...
