I'm going to be honest by saying this forum intimidates me. I know much knowledge can be learned at this site. Many members here know much about the live shows and have impressive collections. I noticed that you don't express about the messages that Bob delivered in each one of these shows. Like what was the spirit of the Apollo shows? What do you feel when you listen to them? Or say what about the difference between the 2 Zimbabwe concerts? I only have 2 live shows. Bob's last show at Pittsburgh and the Upper Darby concert. The spirit is there when I listen to these. At Pittsburgh on the 'Exodus' track when Bob sings 'Touch me not till you hear my message'. I think what he says is scripture here 'Touch not the Lord's annointed'. And this actually happened at Pittsburgh. Everyone reaching out to touch Bob physically that night and him grasping their hands. I will share something about this show. When he sings 'No Woman No Cry' he stood directly in front of me. And when you hear 'Little sister don't shed no tears', know that I wept at his feet that night and he dried my tears as is recorded in scriptures. Every song is a sign and every live show has a message.
So I ask what are you pickin up when you have the blessing of listening to these live shows?

please dont feel intimidated. I think i speek for us all when i say you can ask us any question that pertains to bob and alot of us here would be happy to answer it for you!

Anyway, when i hear bob on stage, i hear a prophet in a trance. I hear a philosopher conveying his message to a live audience. It is not hard to tell that god is inside of Bob Marley while he is onstage.

That's why Bob's shows are so great and that's why I started collecting them. Every show is great and Bob always had such incredible energy. Like Blaise said, I personally believe that when Bob was performing Jah was speaking through him.

I'm relatively new to Bob's music and reggae in general. I started really getting into his stuff about 2 years ago. It's because of the people in this community who share their stuff that I was able to get all the stuff I have, and I'm eternally grateful for that. Go here if you want to build your collection.
