View Full Version : favourite first song
We all know that the first song of an album is the most important, for obvious reasons. It should be something that has a lot of energy or tension in it, something that will make people notice it in some way.
So in your opinion which is the most well-chosen first song of bob marley's albums?

Very hard to choose....... So much trouble in the world..
natural mystic
I vote "natural mystic" too. Not for the song, I vote for the very great production. This "fade in" is really GOOD IDEA!!!!!
Natural mysticccccccccccccccccccccccccc
I was undecided between concrete jungle and natural mystic
concrete jungle is the beginning of all, is very important in marley career
but natural mystic is perfect as first song, with that fade
so I voted natural mystic
concrete jungle no doubt all are cool ... but .. catch the fire
I would say natural mystic or positive vibration. Both songs were great opening songs on the later tours

Very hard question.
My favorite first song is Chant Down Babylon.
GUSU was the one that made more success. Natural Mystic is also a very good one to start an album. However, Positive Vibration is the one I think that passes the best message for the start...
But I choose Chant Down Babylon, just because is my favorite among them, not thinking about its importance as the first song of an album.
Hey marco... you should then create a poll about the best last song of an album!

yes, no need to have a poll, Redemption Song is outstanding.
However, it's not my favorite one...
my favorite one is Revolution.
Easy Skanking - great way to start one of Bob's best albums

So much Trouble in the World is applicable to the world today. Truthfully, Bob's songs are not bound by time due to the realistic outcry of his lyrics. I love them all. Bur given the selection provided, So Much Trouble In The World has to be my best. I have traveled to many nations and no where is pain and suffering absent. :culogros
so much trouble is my favourite ever...
... but I consider it, sad to say, more like a "final" song than a first song
I must say, that it's really hard to choose the best song. It depends on our vibrations, when it's bad I will choose so much trouble or concrete jungle, but when it's good vibe Stir it up or positive vibe for sure. I discover Marley art and each day I will choose another song in normal way.
