After several years and much help from many friends including several from this website, I finally finished my book, Bob Marley: The Complete Annotated Bibliography.
Roger Steffens wrote the foreword and Stephen Davis gave it a nice blessing for the back cover.
The bibliography contains information and cover photos to over 400 books featuring Bob Marley and Peter Tosh.
My hope is that by publishing this first edition, everybody will be able to check it out and fill in any blanks, correct any mistakes and create a much more complete second editon.

Thanks everybody. Yes Fabio, unfortunately the down side of bibliographies and discographies is that the minute they go to print they are out dated. That is just the nature of them. This first edition went to print before I had info about the Japanese book.

Good work Joe. I know how hard putting a book together can be. I am in the middle of finishing up my Book and Its not an easy task.... That is for sure. So Big UPs..
Jack all I can say is keep on plugging away. There are so many people with either Marley book ideas or starts to books and all I can say is just do it. It took me some time to get over the initial hump with this book but once I did, I got some momentum going and just kept grinding away, just like my friends do on the PGA Tour. Grind grind grind.
To everybody working on a great new Bob book, I say keep on working hard...Jack, Micke, Gael, James etc... These books do take some time and major effort but with some persistance and dreadication you can get them done. Many times it just takes that initial kick in the pants to get going.
The problem I had with this book and other may also have is when to stop and publish. I just figured at some point you just got to end it and get it out there. Like my good friend Glen Lockey said inna reggae riddim "Joe, don't worry about what your book does not have, focus on what it does have." As soon as he told me that, I wrapped it up and got it to the publisher.
I'll worry about what it does not have in the second edition.
So, to all you authors out there, plug away and finish your books. We all need to see the important works everybody is working on sooner than later!!! :)

YES there is a discount for BMM members. The problem I have in which I found out today is that shipping the book to Europe and UK costs me $10.75 U.S. That is a killer. But it is the cheapest way.
So what I am proposing to all Bob Marley Magazine members is $17.00 U.S. that covers the shipping and is $6.25 for the book well below my cost. Does that sound fair? in this morning I had received Bob Marley's book realized by Joe.
my opinion it's a good book....he knows his business!
I'm like very much the shape and organization of the book...on the left we can defined clearly cover book while proximate we read rich info about all Bob Marley's books.
what's more I didn't know of the double Bob Marley's publications by Dennis Morris.
I had considered "Bob Marley-rebel with a cause" and "Bob Marley-a rebel life" the same one...
it's very interested the share about Greek and Japan Bob Marley's books...I knew not much it!
however it remains a good work! there's no disputing that! :)

I have received my copy too! I couldn't imagine so many books about Bob all over the world! Joe really did a very good job!;)
Thank you my friends for the kind words, I really appreciate it! With your help, this is the only way I have to spread the word about this book. All I have is you guys. This book is very grassroots. I have no big publishing company to market or promote this book all I have are my Marley friends. And this is the only Marley website I visit-besides Fred Perry's and Werner Kajnaths but there are no forums there. I do also now visit reggaeville.com Julian's incredible site. That site keeps me up to date on the current reggae runnings, such as Buju Banton's cocaine bust in Florida--Rasta Got Coke! I did post something on the BobMarley.com forum, but I don't think too many people visit it-maybe about 15 people.
Yes Nadia, lots of books huh. Over 400 editions documented in the bibliography. And many more to come. So far in 2010 we have Kim Gottlieb-Walker's photo book and a new biography by Kymani Marley due out in Feb.

It's extensive, accurate and have a compact format, lovely. It covers book publications in a wide range of foreign countries and this, together with the useful short descriptions added to each tittle, are two elements that make the book to be the ideal guide to Bob's bibliography for any Bob Marley fan/reader/collector/etc. Simply fantastic and universal! A very good work from your part, what I use to call a "deep research." Many of the tittles included in your book are items I had never seen or heard about them before. Many thanks for having contributed to expand the horizonts in the Marley knowledge. I wish you the best Joe! Sincerely I say that we are lucky having you around, I think it's a general thought.

Joe: I will buy Damian Marley's book...what's more today I have received "the Rockers" USA dvd about Bob Marley's video in New York city dated 1980 and I have received also "Bob Marley-Por El Mesmo" book...but I'm really curious about the next Gottlieb's book... Have you precise info or details? :)
Hi Fabio, It's Kymani Marley not Damian who has a book coming out. It's titled Dear Dad after his song of the same name. An incredible song! As far as Kim Gottlieb-Walker's book, is going to be a photo book of her reggae photos with heavy emphasis on her Marley photos. One Love my friend-jj :)
Running a little late here, but I just went through my signed copy and it's a joy to explore all these (unknown/rare) titles and the extra info that comes with it. Nice to see covers too as the bibliographies I'm used to come with text only. I can imagine having all printed in colour would have been a costly thing.
A great standard work already Joe. Think many researching Bob for whatever reason will come across it in years to come. Especially since you plan to keep working on it. Big up!

Yes Moguai, It will have everything in the current book but also have much more. But it will be some time in the making. I'm guessing it will take me almost another 18 months (year and a half) to put it all together.
I will keep everbody up to date and ask for help.
