Hello. I was searching the web and came across the BMM! Very excited!
I am by no means, an 'expert' in Reggae/Rastafarian music, culture etc. I have always loved Bob Marley's music. My passion for his music is quite different today than it was in high school. I listened to his music in high school because I smoked pot and listening to Bob was the 'thing' to do. That was 20 years ago.
Today, I listen to Bob Marley's music because he was a genuine, social activist. He remained true to his beliefs despite the great disdain others had towards him.

I am a Special Education Teacher and I have worked with students who have been oppressed by society on so many levels. My students need someone to understand them and not judge them. I advocate for their best interests. Often times, I am their voice.
I look forward to learning from you and sharing what I learn with all of you.

Re: Hi!
a great honour and pleasure to have you on our magazine
Personally I'm not rastafarian and I don't smoke but I think that Bob's message is more than herb and Selassie: Bob's message is universal and tells about equal rights, social justice, respect and God
