It is not fiction that the CIA was working a destabilization program against the Manley gov't in the '70s. I didn't make that up. I did the research, including interviewing former JA First Lady Beverley Manley in her home in Kingston. (The narrative storyline is invented to tie the threads together.) Among other things Stir It Up is a tribute to Bob as one of the world's great humanitarians and freedom fighters--something he doesn't get nearly enough credit for in mainstream (Western) media and culture. Let me say to all of my fellow BMM readers that this is a great book. For all of those who have sought answers, reasons, scenarios etc. regarding the assasination attempt on Bob, this book will offer you plenty. What this book offers are the most probable scenarios behind the attempt, who was behind it and exactly why they would want Bob killed. It all makes sense. And it's not some crazy conspiracy theory type scenario. I can go into details but really encourage everybody to order the book and read it for themselves. It's a quick read and Cupples really moves the story along. Really a must have book for the Marley library. It's another book that fills a major void in the Marley story.
