haven't heard them all so I can't vote. Is Leeds '73 an official Tuff Gong album? didn't know they released one. (too busy writing I guess). For my money, the most thrilling live performance is the '79 Santa Barbara concert DVD--yes, I like it even better than the '77 Rainbow concert on the Exodus tour. Roger Steffens, on the other hand, can hardly watch '79 SB because Bob has begun to lose his strength--which is true, he is much more vigorous at the Rainbow. But even though his voice is less dynamic by '79, his performance is riveting and the Wailers are just awesome. Still better than anybody else who ever came along. of course you want to have them both, SB and Rainbow.

a me invece i concerti del 76 piaccono meno perché sono troppo lenti
amo la svolta "rock" impressa da junior marvin a tutto il gruppo e quindi per me i migliori concerti sono quelli post 1977 (lyceum 75 a parte che è un palmo sopra il resto)

comunque le lentezze così pregne di blues mi son sempre piaciute... difficile scegliere... ma come avevo già espresso il live ufficiale è il migliore anche se babylon by bus non scherza, ma c'è una carica magica in quel live!

Dal 73 all'80 c'e stato ogni anno per i wailers un cambiamento musicale io che mi diverto a stare dietro a loro con il basso ascoltando una volta un concerto del 76 una del 77 e cosi via fino all'80 ti accorgi che ogni anno il sound cambiava il 73 è un sound da cantina 74 non lo so 75 già è migliorato sono più lineari nelle canzoni e poi sulla chitarra ritmica cè il wah wah molto acuta nel 76 il sound è diventato molto lento e roots nel 77 come dice marco con l'entrata di junior il sound è diventato molto rock(poi ho letto l'itervista fatta non ricordo il nome comunque a quello che gli ha modificato le chitarre e gli effetti, che usava jimi endrix cosi hanno modificato il sound ancora una volta) poi dal 78 79 ti accorgi come giocavano su ogni concerto con questi effetti poi nell'80 un sound molto morbido tipo providens rohad island ma anche duro tipo dortmund o milano.
