I believe I read (it's been years, so my memory fails me as to where I read it), he was buried in a denim suit, with the ring on, and one hand on an open Bible on the 23rd psalm, and the other with his guitar.......
I believe there was an open casket at some point, so there were people who did see him laid to rest.
I can't imagine those things were in the casket, then removed before the closure.
I guess someday someone can verify the information- and put to rest any and all rumours out there.

well I would think just the opposite that it would be hard to find out the "truth". Think about it this way, with people thinking the ring is on Bob's finger and guitar is in the casket that cuts down on people snooping around trying to steal those items (especially the 12 Tribes people--who wanted the ring more than anybody). So tell everybody they are in the casket and....nobody will try to steal.
Of course I have read what Bob was wearing and that the ring and guitar are with him but, I have never seen a picture of Bob in his casket--are there pictures of Bob in the casket like there are of Tosh?, it was a closed casket at the funeral unlike Peter Tosh's funeral. The monument they put Bob in in Nine Miles is not the same as the mausoleum he is in today. Even in Time Will Tell they show guys sealing the casket with cinder blocks and cement, well today if you go the casket is inside of marble. So as some point they had to take the cement and blocks down, move the casket, build the current mausoleum and put the casket back in. I don't even feel that was the time when the items would have been removed, I feel they were never there to begin with. Do I have evidence of this...NO, it is just my common sense and gut feeling, that's it.
There was an open casket I know someone who took photos and the guards took the film out of the camera. I think it is fitting for bob to be burried with those things. Almost like a King of Eygpt burried with their personal things. Also who would get the gutair and I know people close to the marleys and they have never seen Bob's gutiar I can ask but you would think someone has seen it since. He also has so many kids who was going to get the stuff Rita's children? I cant see that. The person who would know I believe is Diane Jobson has she ever talked about bob indepth?

has anyone seen His Majesty wearing the ring? I have seen thousands of Haile Selassie I photos and the ring he wore was not like the one given to Bob. I have a friend who was a teacher sent from India to teach in His Majestys schools and upon retirement he recieved a ring almost like the one Bob was given. The only different was the number of "bumps" on the sides of the ring. 11 instead of 7 or vice versa. His Majesty used to give these rings out as gifts. Not Often, but I have seen the one given ot my friend by H.I.M.. Hope this clears up things a bit. Swagga-I Rastafari

Interesting info.
There have been so many stories and rumors about bob's ring. I have even heard people say it was made from the gold of king solomon, Hell I even heard the ring was once solomon's himself. Obviously these things are not true, but that shows how much false info is thrown around
