Hi My friends,

One question. On the Santana Secret tape are two " live" songs. Waiting in Vain and Rebel Music. Waiting in vain is in my opinion a fake live recording. In fact i believe an early studio take mixed with some crowdnoise (rainbow?). But rebel music is realy a live recording. Does somebody know from wich concert this is taken. It's realy good quality and a good version. It sounds a little like an 1978 recording. Compaired with shows from 1978 maybe 1977?? but i don't know. Does somebody the answer?

Santana's Supernatural Legacy Edition presents the album's first new remastering and adds a second disc of rarities. no way this live version is from 1976 - and the versions on this compilation do not come from the island archives; imho it was indeed recorded in 1978

this Rebel Music version from 1976 , if you listen the sound and particulary the guitar sound.....is not junior or al but donald or chinna.......Waiting in vain is fake live version.....

That's a 1976 solo. Kinsey on guitar. Carlton is also playing the song the way he played it in 1976. I would date this around late June 1976.
