Unanswered: Question

This month is black history month, and many shows on TV have had Martin luther king on them. I listened to many of his speeches, and they are all great, and he seems like a person that bob marley would admire. i was just wondering if there are any quotes of bob's that include refrence to martin luther king?

I was also wondering if there were any quotes of bobs refering to the great philosopher ghandi.

I remember a quote from an interview in Boston 1980 (not the TV interview) where he said he would appreciate Marx and Lenin, but he would follow Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey...

here's the full quote:

Quote:
"We appreciate Marx and Lenin, but we follow Marcus Garvey and
Malcolm X. We don't need Marx and Lenin and Hegel and so on.
We want it to be more easier for the people ahead. We don't
fight over ideologies.

Thanks to Dr. King's letter, "Birmingham" had become a clarion call for action by the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, especially in the 1980s, when the international outcry to free Nelson Mandela reached its zenith. Archbishop Desmond Tutu quoted the letter in his sermons, Jamaican reggae singer Bob Marley kept the text with him for good luck...
