Last week i bought this album. It's indeed produced by ziggy. It has a nice cardboard cover. Three little birds is only with guitar, very nice. Satisfy my soul has different vocal take. Some songs completely remixed like jamming. Some little and some are the original album tracks. Redemption song is same but without echo. It's so clear...like hi is singing next to you. Very nice album.
I might look difficult to you, but I was very disapointed with this album. The cover is nice, but if it wasn't for the TUFF GONG logo, I would have tought it was an unofficial release. But it is in fact an official release by Tuff Gong/Universal. In general, I like Ziggy Marley's music, but I'm not convinced with these remixes. There is in fact 5 new remixes plus one alternate take:
THREE LITTLE BIRDS (2009 remix)
BEND DOWN LOW (2009 remix)
JAMMING (2009 remix)
SMALL AXE (2009 remix)
STIR IT UP (2009 remix)
SATISFY MY SOUL (alternate take)
The only remix I really like, is JAMMING. There is something with the sound of those remixes that I'm not too happy with: it sounds too clean, too perfect, it misses some vibes. The alternate take of SATISFY MY SOUL is interesting. I am not too sure about the choice of songs for kids... To me SMALL AXE make a radical statement: I overstand why they pick it, but still disagree to include it on an album that goes up to censor COULD YOU BE LOVED, by removing the word 'hell'. Yes you read good, they 'patched' a part of "so go to hell if what you're thinking it not right", in order not to be offensive for young hears.

I prefer Ziggy Marley as a musician than a producer/remixer. By the way, contrary to a lot of reviews that I've read/heard, I love his second solo album LOVE IS MY RELIGION.
