Unanswered: Playing For Change ? THE CONCERT

By now, probably everybody on this forum knows about the project Playing For Change. In late October, I saw the band performing in Toronto. They did not performed ONE LOVE or WAR/NO MORE TROUBLE. But instead they performed THREE LITTLE BIRDS and FUSSING AND FIGHTING. This is the review I wrote to a friend, a few days after the concert and tought of sharing it:

It was a very good concert. Some very talented musicians. A reggae/soul/blues oriented concert. The big surprise to me was that they played FUSSING & FIGHTING the Wailers's song from 1971 with an upbeat mood. But I think I was the only one to know the song in the audience. They also played THREE LITTLE BIRDS. I think all the audience was expecting ONE LOVE, but they were told to go offstage at 9pm (as the concert sarted at 7pm)... I think a second concert was happening around 10 o'clock. Well they look like they had not the chance to finish the concert. There was no encore and believe me with the mood of the night they might have been two encores.

For those of you not familiar with this project, here are the links for the videos. There is a deluxe edition of the CD that comes with a DVD. Wonderful project.

ONE LOVE

WAR/NO MORE TROUBLE
