Unanswered: My Interview with Al Anderson
I had the honor to interview Al Anderson today at The Ram's Head Inn in Annapolis, MD, USA. The Original Wailers were in town to play a show so I requested the interview and got it. Al talked with me for over an hour and enlightened me on many things. I showed up all prepared with my questions but the interview took a sharp turn immediately and we discussed many different things from the use of the name "Original Wailers" to Al's music training at Berklee to his first year in Jamaica to Bob's dying wishes for the band to finances to Familyman to Junior to Blackwell and much more. The interview is very long and I'm just now starting to transcribe. It will be shared in its entirety at www.worldareggae.com and http://midnightraverblog.com. Al was great and very open and forthcoming. It was the easiest interview I've ever done.

Re: My Interview with Al Anderson
Steve McQueen called Bob????? Oh my God, what a incredible news!
I knew Bob wanted to go to the mexican clinic when Steve was treated but I didn't know that they talked
Steve died on 7 november 1980
Bob was searching for a good clinic on october so I suppose Steve phoned Bob in october 1980

Re: My Interview with Al Anderson
“Earl ‘Wire’ Lindo wrote “Redemption Song,” whether they want to believe it or not. Vincent Ford wrote “No Woman, No Cry.” King Sporty wrote “Buffalo Soldier.” Bob had his thing, don’t get it twisted, but those three songs were written by different people. Every single word.”
hard to believe
yes buffalo soldier was written by King Sporty but no woman no cry was written by bob and also redemption song
you can know Bob's poetry, bob's prose

Re: My Interview with Al Anderson
Please know this: This is just Al's side of the story. There is much, much more "food for thought" coming in Parts 2/3. I do not take a position that its true/not true. I'm just reporting what he told me. Like I said, its Al's side of the story.
I have scheduled an interview with Familyman on August 12, 2012. I'm sure he has a completely different story to tell. And of course, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
